Three on Thursday

Three things to do on a snowy spring day:

It snowed six inches on March 21, 2018
Six inches of snow on the 2nd day of spring

1.  Fold 100 loads of laundry while binge watching Grey's Anatomy.

Weather gauge cowl knit with Knit Picks Palette yarn
Temperature gauge cowl

2.  Drink hot chocolate and knit a snowy weather stripe into the temperature gauge cowl.

Daffodils finally popped up on 3/18/18

3.  Worry about the daffodils that just popped up out of the ground three days ago.

  1. Oy, I am with you on the laundry folding today! And, I am hoping that the snow is a good insulator for the green growing things!

    1. You know, I hadn't even thought of the snow as insulation. I was just thinking of frostbitten leaves.

  3. Love the temperature gauge cowl. I knit a sky scarf a few years ago - fun!

  4. Oh, your daffodils will be just fine! They're designed to withstand the ficklness of winter. (The leaf tips might be ugly, but the blooms will be just beautiful!) Hope your snow melts soon . . . into a lovely spring.

    1. Thanks for the daffodil encouragement. I'm obviously not a gardener. :)

  5. Feeling sorry for you stuck in the snow,
    makes for pretty pictures, though.
I'm in CA just rain in the forecast.
My daffodils are almost completely gone.
    Tulips are glowing.
    Spring will eventually come.

    1. Thanks! I can't decide how I feel about it. Too much contrast between some colors, not enough between others... I'm looking forward to seeing what the summer colors do for it.

    1. Oddly, & luckily for me, my husband loves to cook on snowy days. It's why I keep him around. :)

    1. Thanks! I'm still not 100% happy with my choices but I was determined to use stashed yarn so... I can't wait to see how summer's heat changes the look of it.
