Six inches of snow on the 2nd day of spring |
1. Fold 100 loads of laundry while binge watching Grey's Anatomy.
Temperature gauge cowl |
2. Drink hot chocolate and knit a snowy weather stripe into the temperature gauge cowl.
Daffodils finally popped up on 3/18/18 |
3. Worry about the daffodils that just popped up out of the ground three days ago.
Oy, I am with you on the laundry folding today! And, I am hoping that the snow is a good insulator for the green growing things!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I hadn't even thought of the snow as insulation. I was just thinking of frostbitten leaves.
DeleteLooks like a productive day to me! Glad to hear you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm happy to be feeling better too!! :)
DeleteLove the temperature gauge cowl. I knit a sky scarf a few years ago - fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm not sure I'm 100% happy with my color choices but...
DeleteOh, your daffodils will be just fine! They're designed to withstand the ficklness of winter. (The leaf tips might be ugly, but the blooms will be just beautiful!) Hope your snow melts soon . . . into a lovely spring.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the daffodil encouragement. I'm obviously not a gardener. :)
DeleteFeeling sorry for you stuck in the snow,
ReplyDeletemakes for pretty pictures, though.
I'm in CA just rain in the forecast.
My daffodils are almost completely gone.
Tulips are glowing.
Spring will eventually come.
Snow this time of year is very unusual for us... and it's supposed to snow again tomorrow. Crazy weather this year! Enjoy your tulips!
DeleteI love the colors in your temperature cowl!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I can't decide how I feel about it. Too much contrast between some colors, not enough between others... I'm looking forward to seeing what the summer colors do for it.
Deleteknitting and reading are my first two and my third would be eat leftovers so I wouldn't have to cook :)
ReplyDeleteOddly, & luckily for me, my husband loves to cook on snowy days. It's why I keep him around. :)
DeleteOoh, I love the color cowl! The shades are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm still not 100% happy with my choices but I was determined to use stashed yarn so... I can't wait to see how summer's heat changes the look of it.
